Omite Insecticide by Dhanuka

Omite Insecticide by Dhanuka is a miticide (acaricide) containing Propargite 57% EC, developed for effective management of various mite species. Belonging to the sulfite ester group, it offers control through both contact and fumigant action. Registered for use in multiple countries, Omite provides protection against mites, including those that have developed resistance to other miticides.

Mode of Action
Omite works by direct contact, residual contact, and vapour action within dense crop canopies. It interferes with key enzyme systems in mites, disrupting metabolism, respiration, and nerve functions, which quickly halts their feeding activity after application.

Crops and Target Pests

• Brinjal: Two-spotted spider mite — 400 ml/acre

• Chilli: Mites — 600 ml/acre

• Apple: Red mite, Two-spotted spider mite — 0.5 ml per litre of water or 5-10 ml per tree

• Tea: Red mite, Pink mite, Purple mite, Scarlet mite — 300-500 ml/acre
